Meet Miss Small

Hello!  My name is Miss Small and I will be your third grade teacher.  I would like to tell you about myself so that you can get to know me a little bit better.

I recently just bought a house in West Islip. I live there with my best friend Kelly.  I graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education.  I also received my Master’s Degree in Special Education from Long Island University.

I enjoy snowboarding, going to the beach, and spending time with my family and friends.  I also enjoy playing sports, listening to music, shopping, and going to the movies.  My favorite television show is American Idol.

My favorite hobby is reading and not because I am a teacher.  When I was your age, I would spend hours in the library.  I couldn’t get enough of books!  Reading is so much fun and it can take you to many new places where you can meet new friends.  Reading is a big part of my third grade classroom and we will learn to become better readers and writers!  I am so excited that you are in my class this year
