Homework

Homework will be assigned nightly (Monday – Thursday).  A weekly homework sheet will be sent home every Monday.  I will be assigning homework meant to reinforce concepts that were covered during the day.  If you find your child struggling with an assignment, please drop me a note and attach it to the assignment.

Students should read for twenty minutes each night.  They must record the amount of time that they read each night on their Reading Log.  They are also required to complete a Reading Response Worksheet every Thursday night for homework.  The Reading Response Worksheet should be completed about the book that your child is reading at home.  The more children are exposed to reading materials, the more likely it is that they will experience greater success in the classroom.  Students should also practice their math facts every night.  After all, practice makes perfect!
